Uso en formulaciones de espuma moldeada de alta resistencia. Utilizado en combinación con polioles de injerto, como el Pluracol 973, ofrece una buena procesabilidad incluso en formulaciones de baja densidad y alto contenido de agua que pueden cumplir los requisitos de los asientos de los automóviles. Pluracol 816 es menos reactivo que Pluracol 945 y más reactivo que Pluracol 538.
