IRGANOX 1010 se utiliza en poliolefinas como polietileno, polipropileno, polibuteno, así como en copolímeros de olefinas como copolímeros de etileno acetato de vinilo. También se recomienda para el procesamiento de polímeros como poliacetales, poliamidas y poliuretanos, poliésteres, PVC, estireno homo y copolímeros, ABS, elastómeros como caucho butílico (IIR), SBS, SEBS, EPM y EPDM, otros cauchos sintéticos, adhesivos, resinas adhesivas naturales y sintéticas y otros sustratos orgánicos. Tiene buena compatibilidad, alta resistencia a la extracción, baja volatilidad e inodoro. IRGANOX 1010 se puede utilizar en combinación con otros aditivos como coestabilizadores (tioéteres, fosfitos, fosfonitos), estabilizadores de luz y otros estabilizadores funcionales. Este producto es un estabilizador antioxidante fenólico primario altamente eficaz, no decolorante y con impedimentos estéricos que protege los sustratos orgánicos contra la degradación termo-oxidativa.
