EFKA RM 1900 es un agente espesante en forma micronizada para revestimientos no acuosos. Está especialmente indicado para su uso en procesos de fabricación de pinturas que impliquen temperaturas de trabajo relativamente altas.

EFKA RM 1900 produce efectos tixotrópicos muy fuertes en los revestimientos con base de disolvente. Sin embargo, el tipo de disolvente es de importancia decisiva para su comportamiento tixotrópico.

Los disolventes deben consistir principalmente en alcoholes minerales y aromáticos. Una combinación con ésteres, cetonas y alcoholes es posible hasta ciertos límites.

Aplicaciones

EFKA RM 1900 extra es adecuado como aditivo reológico para sistemas basados en disolventes y sin disolventes, como pinturas de resina epoxi, plastisoles, compuestos de calafateo, masillas y masillas de corte.

La ventaja de EFKA RM 1900 es que tolera temperaturas de trabajo relativamente altas, lo que resulta especialmente evidente cuando el disolvente consiste principalmente en gasolina blanca.

EFKA RM 1900 muestra una óptima estabilidad de temperatura en revestimientos basados, por ejemplo, en resinas alquídicas de secado al aire.
