Westport, CT – Azelis Americas, LLC has hired Lucia Zamudio as Sales Director CASE Division, Mexico, to lead the Azelis Americas CASE and Plastic Additive business in Mexico. Azelis closed on its acquisition of Megafarma, the premier pharmaceutical and food ingredient distributor in Mexico, in January 2020, establishing Azelis’ presence into the Latin American market and providing a foundation for the growth of additional businesses in Latin America. Based in Mexico City, Zamudio will be tasked with building out the CASE and Plastic Additives sales team and related functions in Mexico.

Most recently Zamudio was Latin American Sales Manager at Honeywell in Mexico City where she was responsible for significant growth across all areas of Honeywell’s foam business. Prior to Honeywell, Lucia spent nearly 10 years in sales management at Air Products (now Evonik) Latin America focusing on their additives business. In the early 2000’s, Zamudio was a technical sales representative in Latin America for Lanxess, a German specialty chemical manufacturer. Zamudio has a degree in Chemical Engineering and an M.B.A. from IPADE Business School at Panamerican Institute in Mexico City.
